Description

Product Description: Mifepristone Tablets contain the active ingredient mifepristone, a synthetic steroid with antiprogesterone properties. It is primarily used for medical abortion in combination with misoprostol.

Indications and Usage: Mifepristone Tablets are indicated for the medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy up to 70 days of gestation. It is also used for the management of hyperglycemia secondary to hypercortisolism in patients with endogenous Cushing's syndrome who have type 2 diabetes mellitus or glucose intolerance and have failed surgery or are not candidates for surgery.

Dosage and Administration: The dosage and administration regimen for Mifepristone Tablets may vary depending on the specific indication. For medical abortion, a typical regimen involves the administration of 200 mg of mifepristone orally, followed by the administration of misoprostol within 24 to 48 hours. For the management of hyperglycemia in patients with endogenous Cushing's syndrome, the recommended dosage is 300 mg daily for a maximum of 24 weeks.
